Creativity Coaching

Do you have a creative project you long to pursue but lack the motivation, confidence, or time to get it started and see it through to completion? Are you a creative professional who feels blocked or dissatisfied with your current work life? Do you feel a vague lack in your life that you are unsure how to address?
Drawing on more than 15 years of experience as an executive functioning coach, I help my clients get in touch with what they truly want out of their creative lives and then make practical plans to get it. Whether you are an established writer or artist, aspiring to a job or side career in the arts, or want to expand your sense of joy in daily life through creative outlets, I can help you clarify the work you most need to do and then create the conditions in your life that will allow it to happen. This could mean anything from making practical plans to complete a specific project to adding more fun and a stronger sense of self to your parenting. When we are in touch with our creativity, we feel alive, passionate, and productive, whether we are doing a puzzle or writing a novel.
As a long-term meditator and yoga teacher, I offer tools to access deep presence and interconnectedness with the world around you, a state of mind in which the best work often happens. I hold an MFA from Bennington College, have coached writing in NYC private schools for 15 years, and used to teach in Manhattanville College’s MFA program. The main experience I draw on in my coaching is my own struggles and joys as a professional writer over the last two decades.
I also offer sex coaching, which can sometimes be done in conjunction with creativity coaching, since eros and personal expression are so closely linked.
I offer virtual sessions on a sliding scale: $50, $100, or $150 per hour. I can only accept a limited number of clients at the lowest price tier and give priority to the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities. If $50/hour is prohibitive for you, please reach out to discuss options.
